Dana White has confirmed Khabib Nurmagomedov will ONLY return to the UFC

During a lengthy chat with the UFC President on Friday night in Abu Dhabi, the Russian admitted his decision to retire was perhaps too emotive.

White revealed the 32-year-old told him: “I’m going to watch the two lightweight fights at 257. If these guys do something spectacular and make me want to come back and fight I’ll fight.”

Khabib initially announced his decision to retire following his conclusive win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 on Fight Island in October.

Citing the pain of losing his father and a promise he made to his mother, the pound-for-pound superstar vowed to never fight again and walk away from the sport with a perfect record of 29-0.
